Water Program

It doesn’t take long for people to get sick or die due to a lack of clean water. According to a 2019 WHO report, a staggering one in three people cannot access safe water. These individuals are often responsible for collecting water for their communities, which consumes much of their time and keeps women (and their families) trapped in the cycle of poverty. Humanitarian aid can include funding for water systems, filters, and other solutions. This is an example of how addressing an immediate need—such as safe water—can create better conditions and lead to long-term improvement.
